Sketch N Scrap Bonus Sketch!

Just in time for Christmas! Here is a bonus sketch from Sketch N Scrap. We have some awesome prizes this month and an extra layout gets you an extra chance to win!!

For my layout I took three photos of Brileigh. It was daddy's birthday and we decided to bake cupcakes. This was her first time helping in the kitchen and she was a pro!
For the title piece, I layered two title pieces from MME and a layer of matching pink paper. I also added a sticker strip to extend the title.
This layout is predominantly pink but I layered the journaling spot with a turquoise for a little extra color, taking that color out of the photo as Brileigh is wearing pink & turquoise.
I added little banners under the photos by stamping on white paper, cutting them into pennants and layering them on pink paper with buttons. I also used my foam daubers to add a little pink ink around the edges of the paper.
Items I used in this layout:
My Minds Eye • Stella & Rose • Memories Woven Paper
My Minds Eye • Stella & Rose • Gertie Little One Title
My Minds Eye • Stella & Rose • Style #23 Buttons

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #23

Last challenge of the YEAR! Can you believe it? I have been having so much fun with Sketch-N-Scrap and I hope I have given you inspiration and the desire to play along with us.

Okay, who doesn't have a grumpy day now and then? On this particular morning my daughter certainly had her grump on. I snapped the first picture of her staring into space and then she gave me that how dare you look in the second photo.
I guess you can't be a chipper princess every day... I used the cloud pieces over her head and added pop dots to two of them for dimension.
I layered banner pieces for a fun look and stamped the letters on them for the title. I also stamped out the subtitle by the photo.
Products I used in this layout:
My Little Shoebox • Sew Cute • Nothing But Buttons
My Little Shoebox • Pretty Little Things • Just Add Water
My Little Shoebox • Garden Party • Blooming Trails
My Little Shoebox • Garden Party • Roll Up Flower

New Kits & Video

Ever so slowly, I am checking off things on my to do list. That means life is getting back to normal. Yay! Healthy kids, nights full of sleeping. I remember what that was like!

So I put together another quick youtube video showing you how easy it is to make these great post it note holders. What a fun gift! Check out the video RIGHT HERE!
I also got two more paper cone wreath kits put together. This one is Icicles:
And here is Snowballs:
They are made from Fancy Pants paper from the Blissful Blizzard collection. They have wintery names but they would fit in any year round decor as there isn't really anything particularly "Christmas" about them. You can click on the photos to go to the ebay auctions that I have them listed on or go to my WEBSITE HERE.

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #22

Brrr, That's all I have to say! I know I did this last month, but when it gets cold out, I go digging through my summer photos for some instant warmth. Here is the sketch for the new Sketch-N-Scrap challenge. Make sure you get yours uploaded to the site for a chance to win!
The kids were getting pretty daring at the park this last year. They really came to love the twisty slide!
For the title piece, I used my cricut to cut the word fun out. I stuck it on a tag and used pop dots to bring it off the page a touch. The rest of the title I stamped out.
I love working with multiple photos on a layout because you can really tell a story with them!
Products I used in this layout:
Deja Views • Little Ones Collection
Bo Bunny • On the Go • Chip Stickers

Oh Life...

Just a quick post to let you all know that I am still here! I don't have to tell you all that this is a busy time of year. I want to send out a thank you to everyone who has placed an order on my website, etsy and/or ebay stores. It is so much appreciated! I have a lot planned for the future. I am getting ready to shoot some more youtube tutorials as well. Life is just getting in the way. We've been battling sickness for a little while now. The triplets have just been passing bronchitis and the stomach flu around to one another so it's been a couple weeks of sick kids. AND they are turning 3 years old tomorrow! Can you believe it?? I was able to get their cake done during nap time today and we have a party planned for tomorrow night, hopefully we can get a respite from the sickies to have a good time. I promise there will be pictures! So hang in there, I'll be back to full strength soon!

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #21

I'm back again today with another wonderful layout! Make sure you head over to Sketch-N-Scrap to post your take.
Okay seriously, who doesn't love October Afternoon? Their products have that great vintage vibe! For today's layout, I selected a couple photos of Rylan. I purchased a big box of legos on ebay and when he saw them he was so excited. He plopped down in the box and played for hours!
Instead of a third photo in this layout, I opted to add a journal spot. Because of the busy papers I used, I also framed the photos with a solid paper to help them pop.

Products I used in this layout:
October Afternoon • School House • Flash Cards
October Afternoon • 5 & Dime • Found Alpha
October Afternoon • The Thrift Shop • Near Mint
Crate Paper • Toy Box Collection • Stickers
Crate Paper • Toy Box Collection • Chip Stickers

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #20

November? Really? Yikes, Winter is upon us! Time to think about those wonderful summer days at the park. And it's time again for another Sketch-N-Scrap layout!

For today's layout I picked out a photo from this summer. On the way home one day, I spied a tiny little park with a jungle gym the kid's size. They also had a tire swing! The kids had never been on one of those so it was a fun new item. They giggled the whole time they were on it. I shot a short little video of it with my phone.
I used my sewing machine again with this layout, stitching around the main piece 3 times.

Products I used in this layout:
MME • Lime Twist • Life of the Party • Happy Day Argyle Paper
Colorbok • Patterned Paper Pack • Bright
Echo Park • Sweet Summertime • Summer Arglye
Echo Park • Sweet Summertime • Flower Garden
Echo Park • Sweet Summertime • Journal Cards

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #19

What a fun sketch! Am I right? I hope you have been playing along with us at Sketch-N-Scrap this month cause remember the prize is a $25 gift certificate to my store!

For this challenge I chose 2 pictures of Rylan that make me laugh every time I see them. I wanted to scrap them so I remember this moment! The poor little guy was trying to reach the last toy in the crock and he got stuck. I was in the other room and all I heard was a little voice saying "Stuck, Help! Stuck!"
I used some fun bright papers from Bo Bunny and got my sewing machine out!
I cut the title out with my cricut. (Can you believe I didn't stickle it??)
Make sure you go back in my posts to the Oct. 1st layout for another chance to win if you haven't already!

Items I used in this layout:
Bo Bunny • On the Go • 6x6 Pad
Bo Bunny • On the Go • Chip Stickers
Ranger • Glossy Accents

Life News

Okay, here goes. We are moving! Yikes! We are building a house! Double Yikes!
An opportunity came along to sell our house and we took it. We haven't quite broke ground on our new house yet, so we are moving into a temp spot while we build our house. Right now I am packing away everything I wont need for a while to put into storage. Then I'll start on what I do need. (my craft room!) I won't know until I'm moving stuff in what I will all be able to take with me. I hope I'll be able to bring most of it! So if you don't see a post from me for a little while you'll know why. And if you don't see a video from me for longer, you'll know why! It is certainly going to be interesting to see how the kids handle all of this. Thanks so much for your understanding on my absence!

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #18

How can it be October already? I mean seriously, are the days flying by for you too?
Are you all ready for another Sketch N Scrap challenge?
For this layout I looked through the photos of the kids from last years snow. I settled on these four pictures of Brett. Once I pulled the papers I decided to print the photos with a sepia tone to them. The main paper, Parson Brown has an aged look to it and color photos would have taken away from that.
There was a little brad play going on in the layout as well. I used 5 brads total for a nice elemental touch.
The title is cut out with my cricut then embellished with Candy Cane stickles.
I dug in my stash and found some Fancy Pants tags that went well with the Cosmo Cricket & Basic Grey papers I was using. I think it is a lot of fun to take papers from different lines and mix them. It's amazing how well they can work together!
Items I used in this layout:
Basic Grey • Eskimo Kisses • Evergreen
Cosmo Cricket • Dear Mr. Claus • Gift Tags
Cosmo Cricket • Dear Mr Claus • Parson Brown
Fancy Pants • Traditions • Tags & Titles

Work Tray Wednesday

Once again, yes I'm posting this on Thursday. Should I rename it Work Tray Thursday? Not quite the same ring. Oh and don't even mention that I didn't even post it last week! In my defense, I have 3 sick toddlers. One of whom is throwing up. Which means the other two are likely not far behind. And I've been getting a lot of orders in on Ebay & Etsy. Thanks so much to all of you!
Sitting on my work tray this week are papers for the new fall & winter paper cone wreath kits I'm putting together. I should have them up on my website, ebay & etsy soon!

Here is another thing I just got done. (This would have totally been last weeks WTW so there!) I've put together this great American Crafts Fall Kit. There is a lot of product here and it is only $20!

Thanks for your time!

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #17

Here we are again with another wonderful challenge from Sketch N Scrap
We have been getting some wonderful entries into our challenges and I hope you are all playing along. This sketch was a lot of fun to put together into my own layout.
The photo was so much fun. The triplets know about what time their daddy comes home so they like to look and listen for him.
Yes Brett is standing on the arm of the chair. After I took this photo I did move the chair so that wouldn't happen any more! The papers I used in this layout are all from the same collection by American Crafts. This is a nice masculine line that can be used for all of your man, camping, outdoorsy themes. For the title piece I again went to my cricut and cut it out. (I love that thing!)
