New Listings

I have a ton of new things finished up for the upcoming fall seasons and some old favorites too. I've listed some things on ebay and etsy (see links above) but everything is available on my website now. There are a lot of one-of-a-kind things! I'm working on some mixed media and clay pieces that I hope to have finished and added to the site soon

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #54

I have the last sketch of the month for you from Sketch-N-Scrap. A fun one that can be interpreted so many ways!
Again going to my scrap stash, I found some papers form Colorbok for this card. Using a sizzix card die, I cut the scallop out for the top piece. After layering the background papers, I dug through my drawer of die cut pieces. When I'm cutting items out for a project I always cut extras and keep them in a drawer for later uses. They come in handy and give that little extra push of inspiration when I'm looking for the finishing touches on cards.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #85

Now that it is getting nice and hot here in Nebraska, I've had a lot of indoor time to get some scrapbooking done. Today I have another great sketch for you from Sketch-N-Scrap. Check out what the design team came up with on their blog.
I pulled out some more of my vacation photos for this layout. We drove through Redwood Forest in California on our way home and had fun stopping to look at some of the amazingly large trees. I have a large stack of papers from Basic Grey and they are always so easy to work with. The patterns are so mixed they layer very nice. I finished of this layout with a little stitching and some fabric flower stickers also from Basic Grey.

Sketch N Scrap July Twistback Challenge

It's my turn again to come up with a fun twist for Sketch-N-Scraps monthly TwistBack challenge. This time around I selected a sketch from October 2013 for my back, and the twist is for you to use old/vintage photos.
In my spare time (HA) I have been scanning old family photos to archive on disc. So I pulled out my stash and found the perfect photos for this layout. A picture of my grandparents wedding party and photos of their parents (my great grandparents) wedding photos.
I pulled out a stash of Basic Grey's Little Black Dress papers and knew they would be perfect. When I started layering my papers I knew that I needed a touch of color. That is where the turquoise came into play. It worked beautifully with the muted creams, greys and blacks.

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #53

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Independence Day! Today I have another card sketch for you to play along with. Upload your take on the sketch to the Sketch-N-Scrap blog.
For my card, I played with a new sizzix stamp and die set that I picked up on clearance.  I added stamped sentiments from other stamp lines and colored the camera image with Faber-Castell markers.

Happy July! We've lined up another great sketch for you at Sketch-N-Scrap. Head on over to the blog to see what our new design team has come up with!
I just got back from a 10 day vacation with my mom and kids. We traveled as far west as we could, driving through various national parks. Day 2 brought us to Yellowstone and we got to see Old Faithful strut her stuff.
My title was made with my cricut and colored it with distress inks.
The white dots were made with encaustic paint that I melted onto the paper.
Items I used in this layout:
