Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #167

I'm here to give you some Christmas inspiration with the last regular layout sketch of the year for you from Sketch-N-Scrap.
Since the kids have been old enough to hang ornaments on the Christmas tree, I've enjoyed taking photos of them decorating and then scrapping them.
I'm including in this post my layout from the SNS 12/1 sketch. I was late getting it done. Just so you  know, you have all month to play along with all of the sketches on the SNS blog!

As we dive right into December, I am back today with a card sketch I designed for Sketch-N-Scrap.
I went through my drawer of Basic Grey papers to find all of these wonderful orange sheets. It makes for a fun collage on this card.

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #131

I'm back today with a card sketch I designed for Sketch-N-Scrap. The design team has come up with some fun cards based on the sketch, make sure you head on over to the SNS Blog to check them out.
For my card I stuck pretty close to the sketch and used a die for the word happy, coloring it with distress inks.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #162

Welcome to October! Fall has finally come to Nebraska, maybe a little to harsh for some people as temperatures have swung 30 plus degrees from day to day. Now that it is colder it is easier to stay in and work on my scrap booking! Lisa has a fun sketch to work with today over at Sketch-N-Scrap.
This last week the kids got to dress up every day for Homecoming week. One day was called color wars, as every class has their own color. 3rd grade if you can't tell is purple. Brileigh had the most fun with this getting all decked out while her brothers settled for their purple class shirts.

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #130

It's time for another card sketch. This one was designed by Lisa at Sketch-N-Scrap.
On a mission to start using the pile of dies I have, I picked out a rose design for this card. Once cut out I ran it through my Xyron Sticker Maker then colored it with Rangers Distress Inks.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #160

We've entered into the new school and now with the kids back in school I've had a little more time to spend in the craft room. Just in time to play with the new sketch from Lisa over at Sketch-N-Scrap.
We took our annual first day of school pictures. Along with one getting on the bus. The kids were super excited to get back to school and I was just as happy to be back on a schedule.

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #128

Today I have a great card sketch from Lisa over at Sketch-N-Scrap.
This was another sketch I was determined to make a shaker card out of. It's always fun to add the sequins and beads at the end and give it a good shake.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #159

The kids started school today so here we go, back on a schedule! They're pretty excited for school so in my book that's a win! Today I have the second regular layout sketch of the month from Sketch-N-Scrap.
Like I said in my August 1st post, I'm trying to catch up on this summer's photos now that school has started. As with Brett, Brileigh really got the hang of tee ball this year. And being able to coach her the last 3 years, it's been so fun to watch the progress first hand.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #158

As we head into August we are gearing up for "back to school" in our house. So I am trying to catch up scrapping all of our summer photos. Having great sketches like this one from Lisa at Sketch-N-Scrap make it easy.
Brett has come a long way in tball and he really improved this year. It's so much fun to watch. For my layout I turned the sketch on the side to work with the photos I had. My title piece is a mix of stickers and wire that I shaped with my new Memory Keepers Happy Jig.
Talking about my new jig, I have to say I wasn't completely aware of what I was getting. I had assumed it would come with a "map" for creating every letter in the alphabet. Instead it came with a book to make a few words and more shapes. So it has been a learning experience creating the words I want to create with it.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #157

Life has gotten kind of crazy in our house with all of the kids activities. I feel like I'm always running somewhere. It's nice at the end of the day to get some quiet time in the craft room. I finally had just enough time to compete the layout inspired by my latest sketch for Sketch-N-Scrap.
Tball is over, so our recent run abouts are due to Rylan being on the swim team this year. This is a whole new experience for us, and we are learning the ropes. He has come so far and his swimming has improved immensely.

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #125

I hope everyone here in the US had a wonderful (and safe) Independence day yesterday.

I'm back today with another card sketch I designed for Sketch-N-Scrap.
I had fun working with some different angles on this sketch.
I decided to turn my card into a shaker card. I had the fun new bubble gum stamp set from Jillibean Soup and I used that to create the shaker.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #155

Today I have a sketch for you that I designed for Sketch-N-Scrap.
So while in Florida at Lego land, we found a lego car in the middle of the park with a sign depicting 4 locations and the distance to each point. One of those was in Nebraska! Ainsworth to be precise and that small town is a small jump away from home.

Just a quick post...

So yesterday I posted about some items I had just got in from blitzy.com (link to the left).
One of the items was from American Crafts Creative Devotion line, the watercolor tabs. I spent yesterday and today hand coloring the tags with a watercolor set by Nicole, that I had purchased previously on Blitzy, and putting them on the chapters in my bible.
Okay seriously, how beautiful does that look??
