Fall Card

Okay first off I have to say, what a HUGE fan I am of PaperTrey Ink. I have to limit my time on their site because seriously, I would buy it all! I have quite a few of their items, but my "want" list is much greater than the "have" list.
They have a September Blog Hop Challenge going on right now and I decided to play along! This is the card I made for the challenge. I walk you through the steps for creating the leaves below. The center embellishment is a Stamp&Die set from PaperTrey Ink.
I used a gate fold style card for this project.

Okay for the leaves.... Gather your supplies. Ranger Distress Ink in various fall leaf colors, white card stock (I've cut mine in 2x2 squares), archival ink, stamp and die.
Next I stamped the fall leaf colors, aka Red, Yellow, Green & Brown onto my craft sheet. Next I spritzed them with a little water.
I take my squares of white card stock and drag them through the ink to get a different effect on every piece.
You can let your paper dry or use a heat gun to speed the process.
When dry, I used my Technique Tuesday leaf die and cut leaves out of each square of dyed paper.
Here is what a leaf looks like once cut out.
Now that I have all of my leaves cut out I'm ready to stamp.
Using the coordinating leaf stamp I've finished off my leaves and they are ready for embellishing.

  3. Love this card...so pretty! I made leaves just the same way this weekend! Put a little Perfect Pearls in the water when I misted my Distress ink. Love that little shimmer! Happy Fall!

  4. Thanks ladies! Kari, that's a great idea. Could use Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist instead of water. I'll have to try that next time!
