Why can't I get anything done?

Let's see, I don't have any children so I can't use them as an excuse why things don't get done around here very fast. I guess I can blame it on my nontraditional children. This is Josie, she is such a big help. I got a table out of the store room so I could stretch out my crafts and get things done today. Good thing I got the extra table she wouldn't let me use my desk. See her smiling in the second picture, she's so happy with herself.

This is Sylvie, I snapped this picture of her cause I couldn't figure out how she could possibly be comfortable, but she seems to be just fine.

This is one thing that I managed to get done today. I've listed her on ebay, so we'll see how that goes. She stands on a black candle stick about 16" tall. One-of-a-kind.

Well on a scary note, since Halloween is coming up, my Handmadens show is less than a month away. I don't even want to count how many things I have done, then I'll get the scare of how many things I need to get done this week! EEK!! Well enough with this I just convinced myself I need to get to work. Til the next time, Tah Tah

Work Update

Well the weather cooled down enough for me to feel like getting in the garage and building some much needed storage for the bathroom. I really liked how they turned out, the shelf over the toilet holds cleaners and extra toilet paper. The large cupboard is for towels and extra shampoos and such. The room is finally coming together!

I'm figuring out how late in the year it is with this colder weather. I've got to get my rear in gear for my shows this upcoming season! Here is just a photo of some things I'm starting on. I'm not quite sure what they will become, I guess we'll see!

Well, well, well, what have I been up to? September already? It actually feels more like late October outside, confusing the senses. We've gotten so busy at the car lot I haven't been able to work on my "crafty things" there, so I brought all of my things home. Now finding a place for them was difficult. I don't have a room that is just my craft room. Luckily I had a big cupboard that I had just finished. Can yo believe I bought this on ebay for $50? And it was local! That does not happen often in Nebraska.

This smaller one I've had for a little while. It is so deep it holds a lot! The last picture is a corner in the room that has a built in shelf unit. I sewed the curtain to cover up my mess behind, then I used the same fabric to cover the cork board.

This last weekend, I used the extra day off to get some of my fall decor out. I didn't want to go all out Halloween yet, just a couple little fall touches. There was a flea market over Memorial weekend and I found this wonderful dough box. I realized the bottom wasn't original, although the dealer tried to convince me it was. But I have always wanted one. It looks great with fall stuff! I found this neat whispy fall berry garland at Hobby Lobby, I knew right away I wanted it for the chandelier.

I don't know if you can see him, he blends in with the rug. This is my favorite Halloween decoration, but I can't put him away after the season. Ruger is my part Persian pain in the butt. If he's feeling deprived, he jumps in to my arms and makes me carry him around. It's a wonder I get anything done. The Siamese, Josie, is my husbands little girl. She has a knack for getting into trouble...

Here are some more great things I got at the flea market, old wood spoons. Can you image eating out of these? This wonderful sled I got at a shed sale. Wont it look wonderful on the table at Christmas time to create levels?

I have managed to work on some new things too. I've got a fall rug hooked. I just need to bind the edges. I'm still new to rug hooking, I draw my own patterns. I've got some winter and Christmas ideas brewing.

Well this has been one of my longer posts, but it has been awhile since I've posted. I'm trying to get better at that. Til next time ~Prim Blessings

It's Been So Long!

Wow... August is here. I have been mia for a while. I don't know what happened to July! What have I been up to? In mid June I took my annual trip to Walnut Iowa for their Father's Day weekend flea market. I ended up with some good finds and left a lot behind I would have LOVED to have.

I just love that little wood trike $22 Can you believe that!

My husband and I have been hard at work in the bathroom as well. It is not quite finished but it is totally usable. Take a peek:

I had my first wholesale show in June. I'll have to post pictures later. It went really well. Hopefully the orders keep coming in! That's all I have to report on today!

Memorial Weekend

Well the weekend came and went, we had some nice weather for a change. We had so much rain this last week, the creek in our back yard was all of the way up and over the bridge, so I had to find an alternative way home! We got some more done in the bathroom this weekend!

Look, we have some tile laid! The floor is done and ready for grout. The wall have been painted and the door and window molding up.

This weekend was the bi-annual flea market in Lexington. I made it on Sunday and got a couple of neat things. I don't know why I have recently gotten an addiction to bread boards. I bought 2 a small round one and this large one. I also got this great little chair, it might end up hung in my bathroom, I'll have to get it finished before I decide that! The egg crate I have no idea what I'll do with. The top spins and my cat Sylvie found that out right away as she jumped in and hid. She was too quick for a photo though. Well it was back to work today and back to raining. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

It's May Already??

Holy cow! Where does the time go? I wish I could say we've been busy getting our bathroom done, but that's just wishful thinking. We are coming along with it! I've got some photos to update the progress.

THE TUB IS IN! And we are ready for tile. Maybe this will get done this year!

The walls are primed, and look at our new window! We picked up the tile last night and we already have the wainscot and molding. I've got my paint and wallpaper too.

I just went to an Upper Case living party. I bought one thing for my front door and got that put on, see what you think:

Well that's all I have for now, until next time...

It's been awhile...

I didn't think it had been this long since I've posted! March has been flying by. I've been busy getting on the Lemon Poppy Seeds site and trying to stay active with that. I'll be taking part in a Charity Auction for the National Cervical Cancer Coalition. I need to get to working on that! The auctions will take place on ebay staring May 1st. I'll update more on that later.

Hmm what have I been up to? That's right I'm starting to work on fall things and winter items will be coming right up as well. I am hopefully going to be participating in a wholesale gift show in July for the upcoming seasons. If I don't start building my inventory now I don't want to think of the sleepless nights I'll have ahead.

Oh and also check out some of my items on Country Craft Show Online I'll be adding more summer things when they get done! I'm in the Primitives Extreme category. That's all for now!

Lemon Poppy Seeds

Great news! I have been accepted into the Lemon Poppy Seeds website. I've already got some things added to their wonderful site and they will debut Saturday March 1st. Can you believe March is almost here. We've had seom great 50 degree days. Enough to make you yearn for spring! Check out the site for some wonderful artists.

I've also had time to finish a couple of things. This Americana doll is one of 3 different dolls I got added to my website. There is also and Easter doll and a kitty loven doll.

The other day I was searching for crinkle wire and came across a great site: Victorian Scrapworks I bought some crinkle wire and these wonderful victorian scraps. I have no idea what I am going to do with them yet but the possibilities! And the prices are wonderful. Well that's all I have to report on tonight! ~Heather

Bathroom Remodel

Here is what I've been up to lately! I got tired of my s 70's avacado green bathroom. Well there is no green in there now!

First went the carpet, then the vanity and huge mirror glued on the wall. Next came the tile in the shower and then the tub itself. What a job, but the demo work is all done. I'm going to tile the floor and shower, put in a nice WHITE tub. There will be a new vanity and mirror. I can't wait! I'll keep adding photos as I go.
