Sketch N Scrap #5

Ready for another fun layout? Click on the image below to go the blog!
This week's layout was a lot of fun. The topic in my layout, not so much. But you have to chronicle the good and the bad, yes?
When sickness hits our house, it usually hits all three. I guess I prefer we all be miserable together than drag it out one kid at a time though. In these photos, the kids were feeling so bad and it shows.
For my title piece above, can you guess what it is made out of? Cupcake liners! I took three liners and sprayed them with my homemade sprays. The wording is cut out with my cricut and covered in Stickles.
Products Used in this Layout:
Pink Paislee • Hometown Summer • Green Acres
October Afternoon • Sidewalks • Journal Cards
October Afternoon • Sidewalks • Jump Rope
October Afternoon • Sidewalks • Red Light Green Light
Ranger • Diamond Stickles

Sketch N Scrap #4

Can you believe we are already on week #4 for the Sketch N Scrap challenges. I've been having so much fun, I hope you have too!

Here is Lisa's sketch for us this week:

What a fun Sketch! I had a great time putting this one together. I have had these photos sitting in my "to do" drawer for a little while. I'm glad I finally got around to getting them on the page!

All of the papers and elements for this layout are from Jillibean Soup.
Minestrone, Elbow Macaroni
Minestrone, Thin Zucchini
Minestrone, Cannellini Beans

It's hard to tell in the photo, but I covered that little watermelon with Glossy Accents, making it an epoxy like sticker!

To add a little charm to the butterflies, I added dots of stickles down the center. I also put stickles around the embellishment in the photo below!

Head on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog, to upload your take on this weeks sketch!

Sketch N Scrap #3

Hello Again! Here we are with anther Sketch-N-Scrap Challenge! Are you playing along? Well you should be! It's a lot of fun!

Here is my interpretation of this week's sketch:

I absolutely love Basic Grey's Little Black Dress collection. It is timeless. I had some papers picked out and when I found the B2 playing card, I knew I had to do a layout with it all. Now being the mom of young triplets, I can't run to town every other day to pick up photos. So for Christmas I treated myself with this:

The Epson Charm. The cost per photo is pretty comparable to other places, and so much handier! I used to send 50-100 pictures to Walgreens to print, then only used a handful in layouts and such. I would forget what I had and end up with reprints too. Now with my charm I can print out only what I need! So you could say I'm saving money! I can also customize my photos in photoshop before I print them. For this layout I wanted to stay away from full color photos so I made them duotone, using colors from the layout.

Here is a list of products I used in this week's layout:
Basic Grey, Little Black Dress, Draper, Dashing, Foxy Posh, Classy Chic, Tuxedo, Etiquette & The New Black
Basic Grey, Little Black Dress, Alpha Stickers
Basic Grey, Wander, Micro Mono Stickers
Basic Grey, Little Black Dress, Stickers
Crate Paper, Toy Box Collection, Accent Cuts

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Sketch N Scrap #2

Here is the sketch for the week of May 7th for the Sketch N Scrap challenge at Joy-N-Jesus Blog. Head on over to the site to play along!

And here is my take on the Sketch!

I absolutely love this picture of my daughter peeking through her crib bars!

Working with the color pink in the photo, I pulled papers that coordinated. The die cut pieces from MME have a hint of sage green in them, helping level out the layout, keeping it from feeling like a monochromatic piece.

For the title "Peek!" I cut it out with my cricut and covered it in Diamond stickles. (Kind of my thing hu?) The background sheet and the light pink in the center are Paper Studio card stock I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The other great products I used are:
Making Memories, Love Struck, Heart Floral
Tim Holtz, Vintage Lace Die
My Minds Eye, Be Loved, Die Cut Accesories
Ranger, Glossy Accents
Ranger, Distress Ink, Walnut Stain

The darker pink paper in the middle is the backside of the Making Memories Heart Floral patterned paper. When you are cutting up pieces to use, don't forget to turn the paper over!

Here is my take:

When we go to the Children's Museum, the boys could literally spend all of their time at the train station.

To make this layout, I used papers by
Basic Grey, Oliver, Thomas & Tyson
Basic Grey, Indie Bloom, Salsa
Crate Paper, Toy Box Collection, Accent Cuts
Basic Grey, Oliver, Chip Stickers
The title trains is cut out with my cricut and covered in Diamond Stickles.

Make sure you check back weekly for new sketches and designs!

Mini Book #12

Today's mini book was a lot of fun. I started with a premade chipboard album. Watch the video to see the technique I used to color the covers!
