So I did a thing...

With the world trying so hard to get back to some sort of normal, more and more activities have been happening. My kids are currently playing 4 different sports, as they have started making up the lost fall volleyball and football seasons and starting the spring baseball and softball seasons. I feel like I am running someone to or from a practice multiple times a day. I am happy to do it! It means they are getting back to being kids!

As for me, I had a wild hair to sign up for two craft shows. It has been many years since I have done one on my own. I told myself not to go overboard, but...

The first show I did was down the road and my goal was to fit everything in my car in one trip as the next show is further away and I can only take one trip.

I was able to squeeze everything in, including all 3 kids. There was some grumbling about what they had to hold on their laps and being so tightly together, but we made it! For the next show all I have to do is figure out where the suitcases are going to go!

Here is a shot of my booth mostly set up. It was as tight a squeeze as in the car to fit it all in! My show this weekend is in York, Nebraska, so if you are from around the area, stop by the Crossroads Junk & Vintage Market to say hi!

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #192

April is quickly coming to an end. It's hard to believe summer break is right around the corner! If you are looking for some card inspiration today, I have a sketch that I designed for Sketch-N-Scrap up on their blog today.

The bulk of my card was made with papers from American Crafts, the line Campy Trails. That set has some great papers that layer so well together. The feathers are a stamp and die set from ART C and the sentiment is from Recollections.

Sketch Challenge from Freshly Made Sketches

Something new from me! It has been quite some time since I've played along on a sketch challenge other than Sketch-N-Scrap. I've recently needed to make a lot of cards so I went looking for sketches to inspire me. Freshly Made Sketches is a fun blog that I just happened to stumble upon so I thought I would play along with their latest sketch.

For my card I decided to make it a shaker. Given the sketch, I used heart shapes to make the focal point and each one is an individual shaker. That way even  if the card is stood up there is still sequins in each cutout.

For the background, I made a rainbow effect using my blending brush and a mix of oxide stamp pads by Ranger.

I repeated the rainbow effect on the bottom piece to help the sentiment stand out. The hello itself is cut out of multiple layers of black paper that is stacked to pop it up and finished off with Wink Of Stella and Glossy Accents.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #223

I have a sketch for you today that I designed for Sketch-N-Scrap.

In today's sketch I featured pictures of Brileigh from our visit to Surprise Your Eyes. The hour glass photo was amazing. You really get the illusion that she is sitting inside the glass.

Sketch N Scrap Card Challenge #191

Over at Sketch-N-Scrap today we have another great card sketch to inspire you.

This card came together pretty quick for me. I had a bunch of scraps laying out from other projects that I used for the base of the card. I then dug in to my stash drawer for the flowers. I made them a while back when I was working on something else. I always make extras for the future.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Challenge #222

Happy April!
I've got a fun sketch for you today designed by Stacy. Head over to the Sketch-N-Scrap to see what the design team did with this sketch.

As I mentioned in my post on March 15, I've continued to use photos from our recent trip to Arizona and the fun we had at Surprise Your Eyes. For my layout I used papers from Fancy Pants, Wave Searcher line.
